MODU and Land Rig Inspections

OPS-OES Asset Condition Survey — since 2010.

Leveraging the latest technology, innovative inspection techniques, and no-nonsense reporting, OPS-OES sets a higher standard for MODU and land-based rig integrity. Every inspection is scoped and tailored to the specific rig, contract, and class/flag requirements — built on the IADC Rig Equipment List and the governing Operator/Contractor agreement — across drillships, semi-submersibles, tender barges, jack-ups, and land rigs, wherever in the world the rig is located.

How We Do It

Scope, execution, reporting — in that order.

Determine Scope of Work

Rig Inspection Checklist, IADC Equipment List, contract, class/flag (if applicable), and specific client requirements.

Document Review

IADC Equipment List, required recurring inspections, contract, class/flag requirements, industry publications, client requirements, local laws, and OEM documentation.

Visual Condition Survey

Every non-conformance recorded in the Corrective Action Register (CAR) — categorized Critical, Major, or Minor, by equipment/system/discipline, with photo and reference.

Function Test

All equipment function tested to specified operating conditions — actual operation per OEM, every function tested.

System Integration Test (SIT)

Determine parameters, determine content, develop procedure, then carry out the SIT.

Reporting — All Online

Daily activities, Rig Inspection Checklist, CAR, and document review status — plus an end-of-inspection summary report.
